The reason we don’t use our own Stripe accounts is that the e-commerce stores we work with are new and doing high-volume sales. Unlike established brands, these new stores don’t have a payment history, so if they scale quickly on one Stripe account, the processor might hold their funds or place a reserve.

This happens because the processor needs to ensure the store delivers products on time and maintains good quality. But slowing down growth is a problem for e-commerce brands that want to scale fast, because competitors can overtake them.

To solve this, we diversify their sales across multiple Stripe accounts. This allows them to process safely at scale. We also work with Stripe insiders who provide live insights into Stripe’s algorithm, helping us understand exactly how much volume each account can handle without triggering holds.
